Nick began his stockbroking career at WI Carr Sons & Co in 1964, and was made a capital partner at the age of 28. In 1982 he joined R Nivison & Co before moving to Laing & Cruickshank Investment Management in 1986. Laing & Cruickshank was acquired by UBS Wealth Management in 2004, and in 2006 Nick joined Cheviot Asset Management, where he manages a wide range of family portfolios, trusts, charities and personal pension funds.
