Cheviot Asset Management won the Investment Performance Award for Defensive Portfolio at the Annual PAM awards.
The “Defensive Portfolio” award is given to the firm that has most consistently delivered the best risk-adjusted investment returns for defensively positioned portfolios.
Commenting on Cheviot’s success Michael Kerr-Dineen, Chief Executive of Cheviot Asset Management said:
“I am proud that we have provided positive annual investment returns for clients over the past three years, particularly given the current climate.”
“Cheviot’s success is a reminder that there is no substitute for thorough research and sound strategy. Our record in delivering for defensively positioned portfolios is thanks to placing long-term strategic thinking at the heart of our investment process."
Asset Risk Consultants praised Cheviot’s exceptional record:
Over the 36 months since January 2009 the Cheviot Conservative Model delivered top quartile returns and top quartile risk-adjusted returns. Recent 12 month rolling performance has been very strong.”
Ian Orton, Editor at large of wealthnet said that:
“The standard of entries continues to improve. If nothing else this reflects the status that the PAM Awards Programme now commands.”
The PAM Awards are the highest regarded of the UK wealth management awards. Each year dozens of managers enter the Awards in an in-depth evaluation process and are reviewed by a panel of leading independent industry professionals.
