"We help trustees to fulfil their obligations, and charities to meet their financial needs."
The Trustee Act 2000 requires all trustees to obtain and consider 'proper advice'. Cheviot can provide this advice, giving guidance on the construction of an investment policy to meet the charity's income requirement.
To achieve this, we investigate the degree of risk, and therefore the degree of volatility, that the trustees are happy to accept. We also cater for any restrictions they may wish to impose on the investment policy for the planned duration of the investment.
Once the proper structure exists, Cheviot is in a position to construct a portfolio based on each charity's individual requirements.
Cheviot is determined to fill the niche in the investment markets for a cogent, independent approach to portfolio management. Investment planning for charities forms a crucial part of our mission.
